More about Dr. Eugene Balogh, OD
Dr. Balogh graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry. He was a four year member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometry honor society.
In addition to an excellent academic track record, Dr. Balogh has trained in a variety of clinical settings including Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, the Roseburg VA hospital in Roseburg, OR, the Barnett Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix, AZ, and at several university affiliated clinics in the Portland, OR area. These varied experiences have given him a well rounded clinical background and excellent experience with the management of eye changes caused by diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration and glaucoma. Dr. Balogh has also had extensive experience with pre and post operative care of cataract and refractive surgery (LASIK) patients.
Dr. Balogh enjoyed a brief but rewarding career as an elementary school teacher prior to his optometric career and enjoys working with patients of all ages. In his spare time he enjoys recreational soccer, hiking, home improvement projects, and spending time with his wife, son, and faithful Labrador, Cosmo. Dr. Balogh looks forward to meeting the eye care needs of you and your family.
