Doctor Eugene Eisman is a brilliant caring doctor who obviously loves taking care of his patients. He has been the doctor to my entire family. When my mother was in the hospital many years ago , it was obvious how much the nursing staff respected him and I was told repeatedly that she was in good hands. The nurses know which doctors are the best. As my mother came to the end of her life (91) the support from Doctor Eisman was something I will never forget.

I have been a patient of the Eisman practice for many years. During the pandemic I continued with telemedicine visits. Office and telemedicine visits were always prompt and professional. Dr. Eisman provides personal caring as well as knowledgeable services for patients. The office also coordinates all my records from other medical specialties so Dr. Eisman always has a full overview of my health status. I highly endorse and recommend the Eisman and Eisman practice. As a last note, I have been a health professional myself for over 40 years. I know good and caring doctors when I see them!

I went to medical school during the Cretaceous age, finishing my training and leaving for Vietnam in 1970. Being trained at the Chandler Medical Center, University of Kentucky College of Medicine. There was great emphasis on performing a good history and physical. We followed the philosophy of William Osler who said, “Shut up! The patient is trying to tell you the diagnosis.” So we learned to listen, patiently, and then when the patient was finished, we discussed the points that needed clarification. Of course, we also did a complete review of systems, so that nothing was missed. The history was the most important part of the exam although we were trained to do a good physical.
In the fifty years that I have been practicing, I have not changed my technique. I sit with the patient, and after the H&P, explain what their problems are. I use the big words. But, I make certain that the patient understands what the big words mean, and the disease process that we have to treat.
With the advent of the hospitalist, I no longer care for hospitalized patients. In my younger age, the first of my orders on every patient was, “Please feel free to call my about my patient at any hour, I love to chat.” When called at 3AM to admit a patient, many of my colleagues call in admitting orders, and then have a good night’s sleep before seeing my patient. I never did this. My philosophy has always been to see any patient at any hour that was in the ER. If they’re sick enough to be admitted, they’re sick enough to be seen by the attending before they go to the floor.

Dr. Eisman has the unique knowledge and training to be a true diagnostician. He makes a stressful visit to the doctor a positive experience. All medical professionals should be as accessible and down to earth!

Simply put, the Doctors Eisman are "the greatest," the best and the most complete. They have been my and my wife's personal physicians since 1996 and I wouldn't even think about going to or as much as considering anybody else.
