Eugene Huang, MD, PhD is a board certified dermatologist with clinical interests in medical and cosmetic dermatology. He is particularly interested in the therapeutic and clinical development
of immunomodulatory biologics and inflammatory modulators to treat skin cancers and inflammatory skin diseases, such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, acne and connective tissue disorders. Additionally, these approaches can be used for more aesthetic outcomes to improve scare remodeling and wound healing via collagen synthesis, fibroblast stimulation and skin cell differentiation.
Dr. Huang received his undergraduate degree with honors at Carleton College and completed his MD and PhD in immunology at the University of Washington. He finished his internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at the University of California, San Diego. He continues to have academic appointments as an Associate Physician and Clinical Instructor at UCSD and as a Staff Physician and Director of Teledermatology for the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System.
