Both Dr. Schoener and Dr. Pan were excellent. (two locations in two days because there was a spot of blood behind my left eye which ended up being nothing serious). I have been to many doctors in the past five years, due to Psoriatic arthritis and declining health. The staff here are very pleasant, my exam was thorough, and all my concerns were addressed.

Dr. Schoener is our therapeutic optometrist. He is a lifelong New Jersey resident. Originally from Randolph Township, Dr Schoener began his career in the optical industry immediately upon graduation from high school as a technician for an optometric practice in 1988. He attended college in Madison New Jersey at Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated Magna Cum Laude honors. He graduated from the State University of New York State College of Optometry in 1996 and achieved a score of 910 of a possible 1000 on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry licensing examination.
As a therapeutic optometrist, Dr Schoener is able to perform routine eye examinations of patients from grammar school age upwards, he also specializes in contact lens fittings including bifocal, multifocal, monovision, lenses for astigmatism, and disposable lenses. Therapeutic optometrists are also able to evaluate and treat patients for ocular diseases as well.

Needed a new eye doctor due to my old eye doctor not taking my new medical insurance. Looked for the doctor and booked the appointment on the same day. Made an appointment for my regular check up in three weeks. Very happy I found a new eye doctor!

My visit with Dr. Schoener went very well. My optometrist retired and I needed to find someone new. I picked Shore Eye Associates because the office is close to home and they took our insurance. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the brand new, clean office with state of the art equipment (no burst of air in your eye!) and two friendly staff members greeted me, completed all the forms (already there online) and waited about 2 minutes to see him. Dr. Schoener listened to me and found contacts to fit me perfectly. I will absolutely recommend Dr. Schoener and Shore Eye Associates to my family and friends.
