Dr. Son was raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he graduated with a degree in Biology. He then received his M.D. here at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He performed his residency training in Otolaryngology at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Dr. Son is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. He sees patients for the diagnosis and management for both malignant and benign head and neck tumors and thyroid disease. He performs Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS). His other interests include the treatment of skin cancer, facial reconstruction and facial reanimation. Dr. Son also sees adults and children of all ages for general ear, nose, and throat issues

I was very pleased with my visit. Dr. Son was very approachable and very professional. Dr. Son also gave me time to ask questions on several occasions and answered in a way that I could understand. He also kept me as pain-free as possible during a minor procedure. I could not ask for a better first impression.
