My son suffers from anxiety disorder and Dr. Spencer address this issue during his regular annual check up even though we had a scheduled appointment for the following week with his new Psychiatrist. She simply stated that there was no need for him to suffer another week before starting treatment. I was overjoyed with relief that she took the responsibility to help my son immediately. We had to wait three months to get an appointment with the psychiatrist and since then he's had three episodes that lasted between 1-2 weeks. We just moved to Austin in June and had to establish care for him with new doctors and out of the blue a wonderful doctor named Evelyn Spencer came into our lives and gave us hope, compassion and understanding. I'm so grateful that I met her and she will always be my sons pedestrian. Thank you so much and I will call you next week with an update.

Dr. Spencer is a native of Austin. Following graduation from Westlake High School in 1988, she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at The University of Texas at Austin in 1992. Dr. Spencer then embarked on her medical career earning her Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the UTHSCSA. Dr. Spencer received Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1999.
