Please expect a call from the office if you do not provide this information!!** Dr. Faisal Ahmed is a warm and friendly urologist, who provides excellent, personalized care to his patients living in West Los Angeles and all of Southern California. He has offices in Torrance and Westchester - near LAX. Dr. Ahmed is originally from California, and he is fluent in Spanish and English. He is a member of the American Urological Association and received his medical education from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He then entered a general surgery residency at George Washington University’s Medical Center, and a urology residency with the same institution after its completion. Dr. Ahmed began practicing at Advanced Urology as Staff Urologist in 2013. Dr. Ahmed sees patients who are experiencing testicular abnormalities, low libido, erectile dysfunction, all aspects of prostate health, blood in the urine, loss of bladder control - incontinence, kidney stones, and cancer of the bladder, kidneys or prostate. He provides treatments and services such as urology consultations, ultrasounds, urodynamic evaluations and male annual physicals.

I came, checked in and then got taken into an examination room. From here on, I waited literally over an hour for the doctor to see me. It was really annoying. He came and apologized but what good does it really do? When he came, it felt like he was kinda rushing me. I mean, after I waited all that time, he spent a few minutes with me. Wasn’t a very pleasant experience overall.

Let me start off with the good — Dr. Ahmed is amazing! First visit/consultation and very good first impression. I can understand why he has soooo many great reviews. He’s very nice, caring and helpful. You can tell he cares about his job and patients. He offered to do every possible exam/test in order to figure out what’s wrong, with my okay of course. He does a great job explaining too and let’s you know when he’ll follow up and next steps to take. Definitely check him out. The bad — this doesn’t have to do with the doctor necessarily, but more so the office. They were pretty unorganized. I called while on my way and they told me I was scheduled for a video visit, which doesn’t make sense because I made sure to schedule in-office and was also told about parking, which means they insinuated I would be there in person. I would also have to do a urine test, which I obviously could not do over video.. They asked how far I was but I let them know I was nearby and not turning back as I was scheduled for in-person. I got there and because of them overbooking or whatever the case was, I had to wait an hour and a half just to see the doctor. They had told me they could get me in but I’d have to wait.. a bit frustrating since I booked an early appointment to ensure I had time to do other things throughout the day. Luckily, I didn’t have any time specific tasks to tend to. They were packed too, even during COVID the waiting room had a lot of people. They even have to have some people wait in the hallway. Second, I didn’t like the way the nurses handle the urine tests. There is a sign in the restroom saying to use a wipe prior to ensure a clean and proper sample, but there aren’t any wipes? Additionally, there is no lid to go on the cup. I opened the little door to put my sample and behold, someone else’s pee without a lid on it! They didn’t even take the previous persons out so I had to put mine with there’s.. not sure if this is okay? It was sure disgusting though.
