Dr. Farzad R Nahai is a board certified plastic surgeon who has been in practice in Atlanta since 2005 and enjoys the full spectrum of plastic surgery of the face, breast and body in addition to injectables like Botox and fillers. Dr. Nahai is located at The Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm. He has been recognized as Georgia Trend magazine’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’.
Dr. Nahai grew up in Atlanta, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emory University, and attended Emory Medical School. After completing full training in general surgery, Dr. Nahai was a surgeon for the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Next he completed plastic surgery training at the University of California in San Francisco before returning to Atlanta where he completed the Aesthetic and Oculoplastic fellowship at Paces and the Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Nahai takes an individual approach to each patient by listening to their goals and performing a thorough evaluation. He believes that a successful treatment plan is based on what is safe and effective and what will meet each patient’s expectations. Dr. Nahai believes in achieving natural looking results that do not appear overdone and utilizes digital imaging and morphing software to assist with surgical planning.
Dr. Nahai is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, and The Rhinoplasty Society. He enjoys the full spectrum of plastic surgery, focusing on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as breast reconstruction and craniofacial trauma. He is also very skilled at facial fillers and injectables and injects his own patients. Based at Paces, he also has hospital privileges at Piedmont and Northside hospitals.
Dr. Nahai has published a book, numerous papers, book chapters, and continuing medical education articles on aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He also serves as an associate reviewer for multiple publications including Annals of Plastic Surgery, The Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Nahai is the editor of Young Plastic Surgeons Perspective, a periodical written by and for the young plastic surgeon community. Dr. Nahai keeps up-to-date on the current trends and attends plastic surgery meetings regularly, where he is often asked to present his work.
Dr. Nahai has been commended for his clinical research and contributions to the field of plastic surgery with multiple awards. Most recently he was recognized by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for an outstanding paper presentation on eyelid surgery and the Harmonic scalpel. Other awards include the Tiffany award for best scientific paper at the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons for work related to rhinoplasty.
Dr. Nahai is a compassionate individual, takes pride in his work, pursues perfection, and has a reputation as a highly skilled surgeon. He takes an individual approach to each patient and works with his patients to achieve their goals. He also commits time every year to helping the less fortunate who need plastic surgery through his association with Children’s Cross Connection International and Child Spring International. This charity work has taken him to Central America and Tanzania as well as accepting patients from those areas for care in Atlanta. When he is not practicing plastic surgery he enjoys spending time with his family, riding his bike, hiking, and skiing.
