Dermatology Consultants is pleased to announce the addition of Fiona Zwald, M.D. to our Covington team of Experts. Dr. Zwald is now performing Mohs Micrographic Surgery and seeing patients at our Covington location. Dr. Zwald is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon who previously served as full-time Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery at Emory University Hospital. She developed a particular interest in dermatologic conditions associated with solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients and established a multi-disciplinary dermatology clinic onsite at the Emory Hospital Transplant Clinic, where she managed patients who had received solid organ transplants. The focus of her practice is screening and management of patients who have, or who are at risk for skin cancer. She specializes in Mohs surgery as well as advanced reconstructive techniques, melanoma excision, and routine skin surgery. Dr. Zwald is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (www.mohscollege.org) and serves on the Board of Directors. She is President of the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative and is currently serving on the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention (www.SkinCancerPrevention.org) With over 24 year’s experience, Dermatology Consultants is privileged to have Fiona Zwald, M.D. join our team.

She is wonderful! She communicates very well and tells you exactly what to expect and what is going on during the procedure. She is very thorough, takes her time, and makes sure you are not experiencing any pain. Her medical tech, Alisa, is also very professional. Both have excellent bedside manners. I liked the painless part, the comfortable enviroment, and music. It was very relaxing. Dr Zwald is well organized and best of all she provides you with her cell no. in case of complications. A lot of physicians want to hide from you after the procedure. Considering the procedure, it was a most pleasant experience.

From the beginning I felt like I was in good hands. Even when it looked like things might be taking a left turn, she never came across as thinking it would be anything other than perfect.
She performed Moh's Surgery on my nose and unless you're looking for it - the scar is relatively unnoticeable. I would highly recommend Dr. Zwald!

She was so professional but at the same time, down to earth.
Kept me informed through out the whole Mohs procedure on my nose. She gave me her private cell phone number in case we had any questions or problems.
She also called the next morning to see how I was doing.
I highly recommend Dr. Zwald and her nurses. They treated a patient just like a patient wants to be treated.

Very engaging personality, and a thoughtful visit from Dr. Zwald. I appreciated those few extra minutes that she spent with me to get to know me a little better. Also, big kudos to Kim who has been my nurse for my 13 Extrac laser treatments thus far. She's very much a professional, and always so pleasant to visit with, even at 7AM in the morning!

She has a good bedside manner, seems to care about her patients and give options.
They seemed a little disorganized this morning. I was told I would need to wait 15-20 min because Dr Zwald was delayed in a surgery. I understand those things happen, however, that turned into 40+ min and no one came in the room to keep me updated until I walked out to find someone and ask. The right thing to do in that situation is to keep the patient aware of the delay, don't leave them alone in a room wondering.

I enjoyed my visit. Dr. Zwald was very friendly, open and matter of fact. I liked her energy and her attention to detail. She seemed very supportive and I would recommend her highly. I have seen three different doctors and PA's and they were all wonderful!
