Flori Willard is the Director of Select Counseling and a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist based in Maryland, USA. Education and Experience
Flori received her Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland; since then, she has remained committed to contributing to and advancing the field of couples and family therapy.
In addition to her graduate degree, Flori has completed training in additional areas of certification, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS, parts work); she provides training in both fields. Flori also holds certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Integrative Functional Medicine for Mental Health Providers.
Where necessary, Flori blends neuroscience and trauma work in her clinical approach. After receiving extensive training through the Institute for Advanced Psychotherapy Training and Education, Flori became an Advanced Trauma Treatment Therapist. Flori uses Advanced Trauma Treatment and EMDR to help clients alleviate trauma symptoms and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Flori specializes in working with couples and individuals who are in recovery from the devastating impact of different types of addictions. She also specializes in working with clients abroad, particularly expatriates at overseas posts working with the State Department, USAID, and international non-profit organizations.
Other Interests
Outside of her clinical work, Flori enjoys long walks in nature, cooking, reading, and going to the beach.
