Doctor Francisco Cruz was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. He graduated with honors from Medical School from Universidad Catolica de Quito. During his university years he was member of both the University Soccer team and Mountain Bike team.
Doctor Cruz moved to Miami in 2003 to continue his career goals and was accepted at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During his residency, he published and coauthored multiple papers, he was elected Administrative Chief Resident and won the John Ford Award for outstanding performance in gynecology as well as the William A. Little Society Best Chief Resident Award.
After completing residency Doctor Cruz stayed with UM and completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Ultrasound and became an Assistant Professor. He received the ACOG/CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education.
Doctor Cruz is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Registered Diagnostic Sonologist. He specializes in minimally invasive gynecology, high risk pregnancy, cosmetic gynecology and ultrasound. He is one of the few south Florida doctors trained in the management of cervical and cesarean section scar ectopic pregnancies.
Joining the Bayshore team of doctors was another goal obtained. His partners have become a part of his family. Doctor Cruz is dedicated to giving the best to his patients by educating and treating them with the highest level of care.
Doctor Cruz has two amazing children. He enjoys outdoor sports and family time.

I saw Dr Albert Triana it was my first time seeing him , he came in to introduce him self and see what my concerns were and the reason for my appointment , he answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I had a wonderful first visit with with Dr. Francisco Cruz-Pachano. Having just recently arrived in Florida, I have had to "start over" with all new doctors and that is always a little nerve-wracking. I was checked in and asked inside right away. Crystal, my nurse, was friendly and immediately reassuring. I got an instant good vibe! She drew blood and I didn't feel the needle *at all*...she is seriously good! I don't think I waited longer than 3 minutes inside the exam room. Dr. Cruz-Pachano listened intently as I explained my symptoms and my extensive medical history without rushing, interrupting or dismissing me. He proceeded to examine me (surprisingly not painful or uncomfortable at all) and clearly explained our next steps. Overall, I am very glad I did my homework and decided on this practice. I feel I will be in great hands going forward.
