I’m a Psychiatric Physician Assistant with a deep passion for mental health and over five years of experience working with patients facing a range of psychiatric challenges. I earned my Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and hold a certificate from the Neuroscience Education Institute. My approach is rooted in compassion, ensuring that every patient feels heard, understood, and supported.
I have extensive experience conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and prescribing appropriate treatments. But beyond the clinical work, I believe in building trust and forming meaningful connections with my patients. Mental health care isn’t just about medication—it’s about treating the whole person, and I strive to create a safe space where patients can take steps toward healing.
Collaboration is also at the heart of what I do. I work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop well-rounded, individualized treatment plans. I’m always looking to grow and learn, and I’m eager to bring my skills and dedication to a team that values compassionate, patient-centered care.

I’ve seen several mental health providers in the past, and unfortunately, many lacked compassion and didn’t take the time to truly listen. That all changed when I found PA Cuevas. From the very first visit, she made me feel seen and heard. She doesn’t push anything on me—we work together as a team to come up with a care plan that fits "me".
PA Cuevas is kind, compassionate, and genuinely invested in her patients’ well-being. She creates a safe space where I feel comfortable being honest, and I finally feel supported on my mental health journey. If you’re looking for a provider who listens, cares, and treats you like a partner in your own care, I can’t recommend PA Cuevas enough.

The Provider allowed he free rain to express my complete history and current circumstances without interruption any advise a sensible and logical thoughtful treatment plan with weekly check-ins to discuss results and progress.
It was easy, convenient and Amazing.

HORRIBLE, I booked with them and asked if they took my insurance because on zocdoc it shows they did. A minute prior to my apt the nurse practitioner tells me it will be an outrageous amount for a telehealth visit and cost to cancel. Nowhere was it listed that this was the policy. Terrible attitude and awful treatment the NP talked down to me and asked if I understand how a deductible worked and treated me like I was stupid. Don’t book here if you want to pay an outrageous amount and if you try to cancel they will bill you for nothing.. Not to mention I called the office numerous times before my appointment to guarantee my insurance would be covered. Now they refuse to answer any of my phone calls & won’t return any of them. This place lacks professionalism, would not recommend find somewhere else.
