Dr. Gale is very genuine and straight to the point. Very polite, consistance and soft spoken. He came and got me, went to the exam room, sat down and got right to it. Didnt waste no time. Walked me through throughly about my conditions and gave me exact details on how to recover fast. I recommend Dr. Gale. To anyone and everyone who dont like to waste time.

Dr. Gale Stead is really nice. I was disappointed that an office assistant told me that she got an ASL Interpreter and didn’t show up. I asked her, where my ASL interpreter was. She said, “she emailed me that she couldn’t find an ASL interpreter”. I didnt get any email from her. I think she lied to me. Don't think I will go back there again.

I've seen Dr. Gale Stead for the past three years. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field of ophthalmology and is also a very friendly, making the annual vision exam enjoyable.
The rest of the staff is friendly and does a great job of quickly getting you through the process to the exam room.

I really like the exam Gale gave me. All of the personnel in the office are excellent. My only disappointment was, I scheduled my appointment for 2:20 p.m. I received several notices about the time and date as well as a phone call. When I arrived at 2:15 there was someone ahead of me and I finally saw Gale 35 minutes past my appointment time.

This was my first visit to Gale Stead OD. I picked Fifth Avenue Clinic out of a list of the in-network providers of my husband's insurance. The staff and Dr. Stead were very friendly and professional. I was greeted warmly when I arrived, filled out my initial paperwork, and then was seen for my exam. I actually came in the night before to see the clinic and was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness of the staff, and the selection of eyewear to choose from (The Mikli's!) I met with Garrett and picked out my new glasses and sunglasses that night. So after my exam I just had to finish placing the order. I would definitely recommend Dr.Gale Stead.

Dr.Stead is very conversational and down to earth. I kept thinking "Does he have time to just make conversation with me like this?" He did not seem rushed or pressed for time, which made me feel much more relaxed. I work for a doctor's office myself, so I am familiar with the type of doctor that rushes through an exam because they've scheduled too many patients for one day. Perhaps its because I had an appointment at the end of the day, but even the technicians didn't seem rushed. Dr.Stead and his technician, "Topher", were both very kind and patient.
