Tip: if you are a first time/first appointment patient, arrive 20-30 minutes beforehand because there is a good amount of paperwork. Dr. Gutierrez is kind, patient, and very helpful on providing multiple options. He believed me when I informed him of medications/options I cannot have, rather than disputing (like some doctors do). I will be seeing him regularly for lower back pain and pain management.

Dr.Gutierrez, as with all at Central Pain Mgmnt, is an Interventional Pain Management Specialist, and like the CDC and the Texas Med Board is loath to maintain those whose severe chronic pain conditions have been sucessfully managed medically for many years on the medications that a percentage of patients have difficulty using responsibly (& can easily be weeded out). This leaves patients in the difficult position of choosing between only untenable options. All of the doctor's in this practice are compassionate, though as with most busy modern practices they only have a few rushed minutes to spend with you to try to understand a problem that should be entitied to a 20-40 min visit to really understand it and treat it well. I would recommend the doctor and the practice, it is the system and the misapplication of new CDC guidelines & the Texas Med Board and associated Professional Associations that will end up resulting in the deaths of many of the patients that are most in need of the services these doctors provide (while backfiring on their intended goals - as we are already seeing)

Dr. Gutierrez doing a great job and he always try to help me to reduce my pain.
Everyone was very thoughtful & helpful. Answered all my questions.
I don’t even know where to start with this! I was told to go to one location to find out he was at another. Once getting there I had to spend a hr filing out all the same paperwork I spent time doing on here. They had no record of my appt the 1st day I was squeezed in and waited a long time. Office staff was awesome unfortunately the Dr was very condescending and had zero bedside manner. I’ve been in pain Mgmt for yrs and have to find new care due to moving. I thought I was through in my search but now I have to go through this all over to find a new Dr. I have been 100% compliant and stable on my meds this Dr said he would cut me in 1/2 no taper whatsoever. Call me crazy but I would probably be hospitalized that’s not safe at all!! He didn’t care that I am the sole caregiver for a toddler I NEED to be able to get out of bed! Hope this helps someone else save some time I wasted 4 hrs between driving to 2 locations and waiting. Towards the end he said “listen I’ve spent 28 min with you I need to move on” Really?! Apparently new patients get the same 5-10 min as a current patient.

Although the wait was a little long (my fault because I didn't have the paper work filled out before the visit) it was worth every minute of the wait. He read the paper work I filled out. Which is very rare as we know the Drs never read what we write. He is very knowledgable and a great listener. I've been to a few pain management Drs and he has to be the best so far. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Gutierrez was kind, very informative and most reasonable in his thoughts for conservative treatment options. He listened...most important attribute!
Verified patient
My experience with Dr. Gutierrez was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about my condition and excellent in proposing a course of treatment after providing the rationale for same. Would definitely recommend him.

Great doctor!
Great! The staff is always available and polite. They are willing to work around any schedule making this visit easy! Thank you!
Dr. G always takes the time to pin point what is going on. I really like that I don't feel rushed and we can always come to a game plan to address any issues I am having. He ensures that his patients can live a normal lifestyle while under his care because he gets the pain under control.
Very good.
