Since completing his internship at the University of Texas at Houston and his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Hughes has practiced dermatology in northwest Houston for over 30 years. Dr. George Hughes offers a full array of dermatological services to help both adult and pediatric patients maintain healthy skin.
He served as vice president of the Houston Dermatological Society in 1995 and then president of the Houston Dermatological Society in 1996. In addition, Dr. Hughes has been a clinical assistant professor of dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine since 1977.
Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 1977, Dr. Hughes is an excellent diagnostician and can easily recognize and treat a wide variety of dermatological conditions. Dr. Hughes and his team are committed to truly listening to patients and earning their patients’ trust and respect. Always looking to improve, they aim to exceed expectations with all of the dermatological services that they provide including the treatment of skin cancer, moles, acne, warts, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and seborrheic keratosis.

After waiting over an hour to see Dr. Hughes he recommended me to another doctor. When I asked him about some sun spots on my chest he told me to "put make up on it" and it'll be fine. Thanks for the medical advice doc! Smh

My visit went great with Dr. George Hughes, MD he came right in and told me what was causing me to breakout and put me on 2 medication, which are some pills to stop the breakout and a cream to get rid of the acne scars, I highly recommend him to anyone that's suffering from acne and someone that is looking for an excellent dermatologist

Dr. Hughes is very friendly, knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner. However, after waiting more than an hour to see him it was frustrating that he seemed very anxious to be in and out of my appointment in just a few minutes. I felt like I didn't even have time to ask him the questions I had about my health issues.

I went in because of a suspicious mole but he told me everything was fine. Offered to freeze it off but said it was my choice. I found him to be very knowledgeable and will see him again if I have a problem.
