His background in resarch and teaching in academic medical centers, and clincial practice in well recognized cardiac centers, is an asset to his current practice. He has extensively published in cardiology and echocardiology. In addition he has a PhD in biochemistry and physiology. Dr. Lighty has evening and Saturday hours available.
Dr. Lighty grew up on a Pennsylvania German farm in York, PA. He is retired from the US Army Reserves as a LTC. These experiences expanded his knowledge and medical experience.

It was great. I had not been to the doctor in a couple of years and Dr. Lighty took the time to listen to all of my health concerns. His bedside manner is very pleasant and he provided thoughtful feedback on how I can improve my health. I will definately be back.

Dr. Lighty was very knowledgeable. He seems to be well versed in many different areas. I have been searching for a doctor with true knowledge of his expertise. I was surprised by his ability to track the history of each nationality to explain why certain illnesses occur today. My appointment was very interesting and very thorough. His assistant was very helpful also.

This is the first time I ever saw a Doctor and did not feel rushed. This Doctor took his time and explained things and gave a complete examination, all of this and it was on a Saturday.This is the way it is supposed to be and should be, when you see a Doctor.

Needed to find a new physician due to insurance reasons. Found Dr. Lightly very knowledgable with a very nice personality. He spend over an hour assessing me as new patient and shed some new light on old problems. I would recommend him for new patients. His cardiac background is very useful since he doubles as cardiologist and internist.

I was impressed with Dr. Lighty's knowledge and skill, and the time spent and thoroughness of his approach to getting a full medical history. He is one of the better doctors I have seen in terms of answering questions and providing explanations. I am new to the area and found him rather randomly on ZocDoc, and I will be using him as my primary care physician.
