Gerald M. Zupruk, M.D., F.A.A.N.S., is a board certified neurosurgeon who is skilled in adult neurological surgery. Dr. Zupruk received his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from The City College of New York, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship at The Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital (affiliated with Columbia University), Cooperstown, NY. Dr. Zupruk then completed his neurosurgical residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Hospital Center. He served as Neurosurgery Section Chief at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, PA, and was the Chairman, Orthopedic/Neurosurgery Department, Cayuga Medical Center. Dr. Zupruk was a Clinical Professor at DeSales University, Allentown, PA and a faculty member of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Zupruk has authored and co-authored journal articles. He published “Brown-Sequard Syndrome Associated with Post-Traumatic Cervical Epidural Hematoma: Case Report and Review of the Literature”, Neurosurgery 25:278-280, 1989. Dr. Zupruk served as President of the Northampton County Medical Society (PA) 1999, and as President of the Tompkins County Medical Society (NY), June 2011-May, 2012. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
