Dr. Persich graduated from New York University undergrad and completed his medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He is currently the Associate Chief, Department of Podiatry at the Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens. He is also a Clinical Instructor, Department of Orthopedics,The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Persich also heads the clinical research division of the Mount Sinai Podiatric Residency program, and has authored numerous articles in scientific journals. He has also worked with several orthopedic engineering firms developing cutting edge technology for foot and ankle surgery. He is currently working on several research projects in regards to new techniques in foot and ankle surgery. His areas of interest are reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic and microscopic surgery, trauma, and wound care. Dr. Persich has done extensive lecturing at conferences, hospitals and universities across the country. Dr. Persich is also a New York State Trooper PBA Police Surgeon.

Dr. Persich is a friendly doctor, but the communication between the doctor and his receptionists is very poor and disappointing.
The doc told me my prescription would be taken care of by his receptionist but no one informed me that it was ready. I waited with 2 days of pain until I had called his office. To my surprise, the receptionist told me she hadn't heard anything about the rx and that I would need to call later to speak to the doctor himself.
When I called at the requested time, no one picked up and even the answering machine was full. The next day I got a call from my pharmacist, saying she also couldn't get the refill. I had to call again and spoke with some manager and it was then that she was able to explain what happened. While their phone/fax line was down for 3 days, and the doctor entered the rx electronically. It would have been nicer for the receptionist to have told me that in the first place!
Like I said Dr. P seems like a great professional but he needs to have a professional staff to support his practice.

My first appointment went well xrays done ...MRI done next day. Follow up 1 week later with diagnosis given. The nexy visits I would not have kept talk about rude unprofessional staff.My forms for short term disability and FMLA were lost then found What pissed me the most l work for NYC HHC and their requirements is a letter on the doctor's stationary with his license and stamp the Doctor didn't want to do it and wanted to send my entire medical file blatantly told me to find a lawyer because my job was harrassing me.I seen about 4 separate incidents where the patients told them off and left and said they would not be back I join them!!

Once it was my turn to see the doctor everything rolled with precision. All my questions were answered, X-rays were developed swiftly and Dr. Persich made sure that he explained what the problem was and the many options I had to solve it.
