I personally like him, he was really helpful, and answered all my question and explain to me in details, made me feel comfortable the whole time, very professional. also the office is very nice as well as the staff. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Gilberto Rodrigo received his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico and completed his residency at the University of Connecticut. Together with his 8-year-old twin girls, and his wife Kristina, who is also a physician, he has been living in Springfield, IL, where he has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for the past six years. Dr. Rodrigo has served as a physician for the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, as well as an assistant professor, and clerkship director for the medical students. While he enjoys practicing the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology, he has particular interests in managing menstrual bleeding abnormalities, performing robotic surgery, and operative hysteroscopy. He is also an expert in the treatment of cervical dysplasia. Dr. Rodrigo has been certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2011. He is also a member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and is certified by the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Rodrigo enjoys spending time with his family participating in outdoor activities such as snowboarding, scuba diving and bicycling. In addition, he enjoys playing the Ukulele.

It is a nice office but the doctor takes 30 minutes to come in the exam room. He answered all my questions. If I am still in the area, I might let him do my Pap smear next summer.

Dr. Rodrigo was excellent! He was very friendly and listened to everything I had to say. He made me feel very comfortable and reassured. He was very good at explaining different treatment options and then explaining possible conditions too. He took his time in the exam room with me and did not rush what so ever. I would definitely recommend him!
