My name is Dr. Gitana Ng I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of healthcare. I look forward to facilitating this course. This week we will explore the pearls of Family Practice.
I earned her Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice here at NSU. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing at South University. I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the Association of American Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American National Credentialing Center (ANCC). My experience includes family practice, internal medicine, aesthetics, and geriatrics.
I've taught undergraduate and graduate nursing over the past 12 years. I've also mentored doctoral nurse candidates from various universities nationwide. I've served as a research council member and as a Doctor of Nursing Practice University Project Chair, as well as various leadership positions. I'm experienced in treating a wide range of patient populations. I've been a St. Lucie County resident for over 30 years, and I continue to participate in community outreach and volunteer activities from the Treasure Coast to the Palm Beaches.
In addition, I've participated as a member of AANP, The Nurse Practitioner Network, The Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach, the Caribbean Nurses Association of the Treasure Coast, and I'm former member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.
My primary focus is on health promotion and disease prevention through patient education.
