Great bedside manner. Really took the time to get to know my history. Office staff was kind. Lab work can be done in his office or right downstairs - much more convenient.

When he’s not delivering babies and ensuring the health of his patients, this father of two grown sons enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary Alice – both Baylor University alumni. He also enjoys church activities, exercising and spending time with his sons, Garrett and Gavin.

Dr. Heckman's office is great! I visited the Frisco office and it was nice and quiet and quick. The lady at the front desk was polite and friendly, and everyone in the back was super sweet as well. For a first time visit, Dr. Heckman got to know me without me spending hours at the office. It was wonderful!

The wait was a little long because he was caught in surgery but the staff let me know that upon arrival and kept me posted. I've used Dr. Heckman for many years and always amazed at the wonderful and caring bedside manner that he exhibits. Truly one of a kind doctor.

I appreciated that we first met completely clothed in his office to review my medical history and go over any concerns I may have about my health. He spent a great deal of time listening and answering my questions in a way that I could understand that put me at ease. I was then escorted by his friendly smiling nurse to a patient room. During my exam he took the time to explain what he was doing in a way that I could understand and why the knowledge was important. His calm educational communication style made me feel as ease and increased my confidence in his expertise.

This was my first time seeing a male OBGYN.. I've always steered clear of them because it's always so awkward.. Dr. Heckman has become the exception. He sat me down before the exam and asked questions about me personally such as where I was from, what I do now, and shared some things about himself as well. He made me feel VERY comfortable and was VERY knowledgeable and professional. He made sure that I understood what was really going on in my body. I have never left a doctor's office feeling so confident and informed as I did when I left Dr. Heckman's office today. I'm so glad I was referred to his office and look forward to having him deliver our child one day! Dr. Heckman is just another blessing from God and for him I am thankful :)
