Dr. Gloria Kim completed her medical school training at the University of Michigan and while there, also obtained a Masters in Public Health, graduating with an joint MD, MPH degree. She subsequently went to the University of Washington, in Seattle and completed a Family Practice Residency. She became a board certified Family Physician and practiced for several years. Dr. Kim's increasing strong interest in focusing solely on women's health and advocacy, led her to a subsequent residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, in Chicago, IL. In 2010, she joined TRE Medical Ltd, a private practice OB/GYN group in Downers Grove, IL. She is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She remains board certified in Family Medicine until 2014. She finds her prior primary care training very useful in caring for her patients. She believes that a doctor-patient relationship based on communication and trust is crucial in providing the best care for each patient. She also believes in searching for the cause of illness rather than just treating the symptoms.
Her clinical interests include Minimally Invasive gynecologic surgery and procedures, Obstetrics, and patient education. She enjoys taking care of women of all ages-from teens to beyond menopause.
