Gloria Lu, MD, chose a career in medicine because it combined her fascination for health sciences and her desire to find a career dedicated to helping and healing people. From a young age, Dr. Lu was encouraged by her mother to be compassionate and always help others, which helped shape her career choices. As a Family Medicine physician with MemorialCare Medical Group, Dr. Lu enjoys building relationships with her patients. Her interests include women's health and preventative care, and she loves coming up with plans that will be the best fit for her patients and enjoys seeing their progress. Dr. Lu grew up in Northern California in a Taiwanese immigrant family and speaks Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys singing in her a capella group, traveling, hiking, watching football and trying all sorts of different cuisines. For the past 3-4 years I've been seeing a PCP through a concierge service, and Dr. Lu's attentiveness to detail, follow-up questions you really drill down into the issues I've been experiencing, and thorough explanation of suggested tests, lifestyle changes, and medications to help address those issues from all sides really reassured me and also made me feel confident in my choice to look outside of the concierge bubble. I've already started recommending her to friends! :D Oh, also, the entire office staff were wonderful. I had some follow-up questions and they were able to call me back in 15-20 minutes which is SO much shorter than what I'm used to with other providers. A+ teamwork!

This was the first time I met Dr Gloria Lu as my doctor retired. This was just a meet and greet I thought, however it turned into much more. Dr Lu had looked over my medical history, medicine history etc. and was up to date on everything about me. I really like her bedside manner which is very important to me. We talked and went over things for about 30 minutes and I did not feel rushed.

Dr. Lu was great! I haven’t established a PCP in quite some time because of my constant moving, but we talked through my maintenance and current medications. I scheduled first thing in the morning, so my wait time was short and not a lot of people in the waiting room (2-3 people). Will schedule again should the need arise.
