I am a lifelong native of East Texas and have been working in the mental health field since 2007. I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas, where I was honored to be the first graduate of their newly established program.
Before entering psychiatry, I worked extensively as a Critical Care nurse. A significant personal tragedy ultimately inspired me to further my education and transition into the field of mental health, with the goal of giving back to others as I had once been supported in my own time of need.
I approach my practice with genuine compassion, integrity, and discretion. My diverse experience spans psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics, where I have treated a wide range of conditions including major depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, and more. In addition, I have a deep passion for working with survivors of trauma and abuse, including child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
Drawing on both my clinical expertise and my personal life experiences, I am dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and supporting patients in their journey toward healing and resilience.
