Grattan Woodson, M.D. is a nationally recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis having participated in 21 major osteoporosis research studies since 1985. Dr. Woodson’s research work has contributed to the approval of most of the drugs approved by the US FDA for osteoporosis today. He is a contributing author for 28 scientific articles or abstracts published in leading research journals covering different aspects of the treatment or diagnosis of osteoporosis. Dr. Woodson reads all the bone density tests performed at our center. He also conducts all of our osteoporosis evaluations and provides continuing medical services to the patients.

I was told to come in for a follow-up, which was just a way of making a quick buck. He simply told me in three minutes there is nothing he could do. Although there were issues in my blood work there was nothing significant to address, so he just said that's that. Is that something that I could have been told over the phone by a nurse? Instead of driving out and paying for it. Very unprofessional and a total waste of time and money. I recommend seeing someone who cares more for the patient.

My visit was for existing joint pain from arthritis I have been dealing with for several years with my regular physician in another state. I just relocated to Atlanta and needed to continue my course of therapy with someone locally.
As I am not a great candidate for surgery because of a heart condition my usual treatment was a shot in both shoulders at least three times a year and narcotic pain medication to sleep. When I mentioned the Norco I thought he was going to have a stroke jumping backward in his chair and blurting out "I am not interested in prescribing anything like that!"
I will never go back to this clinical research technician that requires a 10 page health survey before seeing him and actually never asked what is going on with my health.

Excellent doctor, very knowledgeable with great bedside manner. My only gripe is the waiting time. This is the third time I have been there and I always see the nurse straight away but am left waiting at least 30 mins for the doctor, which is quite frustrating.

I am new to the area and did not have any idea which doctor to use when I became really sick this week. Dr. Woodson's secretaries were extremely polite, helped me find the office, and welcomed me by name as soon as I walked in. I didn't have to wait at all and was treated very kindly. Dr. Woodson told me exactly what was going on and gave me multiple options of medicines and remedies as well as helped me find the nearest and most convenient pharmacy, since I didn't have one yet either. He gave me inexpensive tips to help ease my symptoms and genuinely wanted to help me get better as soon as possible. I will be back next month for a wellness check up and plan to use him as my primary physician. A very nice, knowledgeable, approachable person!

Dr. Woodson and his staff are very helpful and very caring. I have only seen this doctor twice but I can tell he is very knowledgeable and cares about his patients. I would recommend him as I will be seeing him again for future appointments.

Professional, efficient, and friendly - went for a physical and a few other checks and got everything done well enough - he knew how to keep everything to a minimum (I usually ask too many questions or have extraneous concerns but he was very confident in what I did or did not need - may not be the best thing though...)

I have gone from a size 16 to a size 6 petite since beginning Dr. Woodson's "phased weight-loss plan" a year ago. I've lost 11 inches off my waist and hips. I would not have accomplished this without his support and guidance. And I am equally pleased with the nursing staff that I interact with. They provide excellent nutritional as well as medical information.

I've lost over 70lbs following Dr. Woodson's "Phased Weight Loss" Program. During my visits he follows up on my concerns, checks my progress and guides me to making the choices that are best for me.
Dr.Woodson also oversaw my osteoporosis treatment and continues to evaluate my bone density scans.
