Working as a nurse specializing in mental health for 7 years has been the most fulfilling and rewarding experience for me. Not only did I learn to be compassionate and empathetic with what patients are going through, more importantly, I have learned to treat everyone that I meet as human beings deserving of kindness and love. Now that I am a practicing nurse practitioner, I am very blessed to be able to continue making a difference in the lives of others every single day. This gives me an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, belongingness, and purpose. I am an advocate for good mental well-being and I believe that one cannot achieve a great quality of life without it.
