Dr.Mitchell has a fantastic bedside manner, was incredibly encouraging and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable during the visit and exam. She was also very professional during the visit and I felt like my concerns were really listened to and heard. I highly recommend her to anyone on the fence about seeing a new Gynecologist.

Dr. Gretchen Mitchell grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Georgia in 1984. She finished high school in Gwinnett County and then attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree. After graduation, she attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and earned her medical degree in 1991.
Dr. Mitchell completed her internship, residency and chief residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlanta Medical Center (formerly Georgia Baptist Hospital) in Atlanta, Georgia and then began practicing in the Alpharetta area.
She is affiliated with Northside Hospital, performs surgical procedures at Northside Hospital at Forsyth as well as North Crescent Surgical Center. She has extensive experience in women’s health care. Specializing in gynecology – She focuses her practice on birth control and contraception, perimenopause and menopausal changes, hormone replacement therapy, abnormal bleeding, fibroids and all aspects of women’s care.

Honestly I was so nervous about going to a new GYN but Dr Mitchell was amazing. I was so comfortable. She listened to my concerns and addressed them. I did not feel rushed or dismissed. I’m so thankful.
