Dr. McDonald is both professional and relatable. She is thorough and informative, but speaks to you on a normal level, not like some doctors who speed through medical speak that I never understand. She's friendly and efficient too. I was impressed with how friendly the entire staff was from the moment I walked in the door until I checked out at the end. Lovely people. I recommend her and plan to keep her as my dermatologist.

Dr. Halliday McDonald is a Board Certified Dermatologist with expertise in general medical dermatology for both adults and children, as well as surgical dermatology. She has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of skin conditions, including skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, eczema, nail disorders, alopecia, pigmentary disorders, and many others. She also performs cosmetic procedures including BOTOX, Juv?derm, Radiesse, chemical peels, and sclerotherapy for spider veins.
Dr. McDonald is dedicated to providing compassionate and quality care to each patient in an individualized manner. She is passionate about sun protection and skin cancer prevention. She believes in teaching her patients to be active participants in the health of their skin. She performs voluntary skin cancer screenings each year, and she is committed to the early detection of skin cancer.
Dr. McDonald trained in Texas and spent time as an academic dermatologist in Dallas, teaching dermatology to residents and medical students before moving to Colorado in 2010, where she joined a private practice. Her family moved to Austin in 2011, and the McDonalds are excited to make the city their permanent home Dr. McDonald is joined here by her husband, John, an orthopaedic surgeon, and their daughter. She and John enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking, and spending time with their daughter.

I was impressed by how thorough Dr. McDonald was during my skin cancer exam. She did one biopsy and then recommended an overall plan of treatment going forward. I am a cancer survivor so I am very serious about preventative care. I just moved to Austin and am relieved to have found such a good dermatologist so quickly.
