As a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, Dr. Hansa Huang has been practicing for over 15 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation, she attended The University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree. She completed her internships at a private practice and a non-profit clinic called Bridge Builders in Dallas, TX. She focused on specialty contact lens fittings and co-management of LASIK/cataract patients. Bridge Builders’s primary focus is on the treatment and management of ocular diseases associated with DM, HTN, and Glaucoma. Dr. Huang is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Texas Optometric Association (TOA), and the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS). Dr. Huang has a passion for treating her patients with exceptional care and establishes long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She believes in offering her patients an educational experience by taking the time to explain the inner-workings of their eyes and to promote proactive ocular health. Outside of work, Dr. Huang enjoys outdoor adventures, live concerts, and trying new baking recipes to feed her hungry husband and picky daughter. Whatever falls on the floor is fair game for her puggle, Sir Westin Pugglesworth.
