Dr. Mittelman specializes in Rhinoplasty, Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty. As a result, he has become one of the most experienced and sought after providers of nasal surgery in San Francisco’s Bay Area including Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, San Jose and the surrounding areas. Dr. Mittelman has written and lectured extensively on cosmetic rhinoplasty, repair of collapsed noses, nasal obstruction, revision rhinoplasty and septoplasty. His great interest in rhinoplasty surgery is highlighted by his development of special nasal instruments for rhinoplasty.
In addition to his experience as a specialized nasal surgeon, Dr. Mittelman is well recognized as a leader in facial cosmetic surgery. He helped pioneer facial chin implant surgery, facial cosmetic laser surgery, and techniques for facelift surgery. The Mittelman Extended Chin Implants and the Mittelman Pre-Jowl Implants are the most popular implants of that type in the United States and are used worldwide. He has taught facial plastic surgery as a member of the Stanford clinical faculty for over twenty years and is currently practicing in Los Altos and serving Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, San Jose and the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area.
