Dr. Katz is very nice and welcoming. He got straight to work and was able to pinpoint problems. Although he thinks I will need surgery at some point, he wasn’t pushing for it. Nice office and people!

Dr. Katz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York Stony Brook. He then completed his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He continued his post graduate training there, specializing in podiatric medicine and surgery.
Dr. Katz is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Podiatric Primary Medicine. He is the assistant director of podiatry at Mercy Medical Center and a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Katz also continues to treat competitive athletes by specializing in sports medicine and podiatric surgery. With over 25 years experience, Dr. Katz has been a leader as a surgeon in reconstructive and corrective surgery.

The office would charge for every visit. Even if it was a follow up when all the doctor did was remove the bandage.

Didn't get any results/feedback from the doctor, just spent too much time in the office. The doctor was creepy when he said that I have a beautiful ankle. I don't know what he really meant by that but I don't think it's necessary to mention that. Will not go back.

From the minute I walked in to the second I left I felt I was treated like family. Great experienced, answered all of my questions and left me feeling that I understood the issue with my ankle. They worked with me to accommodate my follow-up appointment. Will definitely be going back!

I went to see Dr. Katz for ingrown toenail that has been huring me for years. Rather than addressing this, he used a fancy instant xray machine to look at my healing broken ankle which I had a plate and screws put into 6 months prior. He told me that a screw was lose and scared me that I needed to talk to his friend immediately and that the dr who did my surgery did a terrible job. I was very scared, and immediately made an appt. with my orthopedic surgion and got a formal xray, even though he wanted me to book with his "friend." Everything was 100% fine. I'd call this guy a crook except he didn't charge me for the visit. It only cost me my time and the copay for an unnecessary visit to my orthopedic surgeon. Not cool.

He made himself sound like he was going to help me with my pain and couldn't tell me what I had after taking X-rays. He did an ultrasound and said he was lessening my pain but I felt no difference. He wrapped my foot and he pocked my co-pay cash. It was a quick visit and I felt like he didn't help at all. Several hours later I call back telling Dr. I am in more pain than this morning and he told me to put ice under my foot. I never went back. I went to look for a Othropedic Surgeon instead.

This appointment was rescheduled to the following week, because their system did not have me on the schedule when I booked through ZocDoc the first time. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the wait was over 30 minutes and the office was running behind schedule. The staff was fantastic, though. Dr. Katz is very professional and cordial, and definitely an expert in his field. The staff was also very nice.

Its hard to tell in one appointment, I will be going back next week. But he was nice, a little mumbly. He also seemed more concerned with an old injury than what I was coming in for. That might be because they could be related but that's a guess, wasnt explained to me. I'll be aboe to better assess after next week.
