Pros: Dr. Samowitz is patient, well educated, and really listens to your problems. He takes a very active approach in making you feel better, and in this sense he's a 10/10.
Cons:The wait to see Dr. Samowitz was beyond ridiculous. My appoinmtent was at 10, I finally was brough into a room at 11:15 and then did not see the doctor until 12:50! They even had me move rooms while I waited. I understand he is a surgeon and very busy, but this is the definition of taking on more than you can handle.
If you can stand the wait, then go.

He is the first urologist in South Florida to be Board Certified in the new subspecialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. The physicians of Uromedix are starting a UroMedix Pelvic Clinic, and Dr. Samowitz will be the Medical Director.
Dr. Samowitz has special expertise in the areas of urinary disorders including frequency/urgency, incontinence, BPH, and women’s health, as well as for male infertility. In his practice, he utilizes the best and most successful treatments for cancer, stones, prostate problems, and erectile dysfunction. He is a member of many professional organizations, including Mensa, the American Urological Association, certified by the American Board of Urology, and recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was Secretary and then President of the Greater Miami Urological Society.

I would rate my experience as excellent. If you’re looking to get in & out of a doctor’s office fast - this may not be the doc for you, but if you're looking for a very competent, compassionate & knowledgeable doctor, he is the right choice. I did have to wait quite awhile but it was clear to me the reason is because he doesn't rush his patients. He took the time to explain my condition and thoroughly explain each treatment option that is available. He also took the time go over any questions I had. I went into this visit (seeing a urologist) with high anxiety. Dr Samowitz picked up on my anxiety and for the first time, I was able to discuss a very painful subject matter from my adolescence with a doctor, which in turn - helped alleviate a lot of my anxiety immediately. I found Dr Samowitz to not only be very knowledgeable in his field - but also very compassionate as a human being. Highly recommended.

I checked in online only to get there and wait another 2+ hours. Also, they asked me to fill out additional paperwork so really what's the point of checking in online before you get there? Other than that, the staff was really friendly and the doctor was as well. I have to go back for a follow up visit so hopefully the doctor can help me find the solution to my personal situation.

Waiting time was too long. Very crowded waiting room and I had an early appointment. Obviously over-books. Staff was neutral - certainly not friendly. Actual time with doctor was less than 5 minutes, Also had PA examine me first, but he seemed to know his stuff. His treatment suggestions may have been aggressive and will require more visits and expense. Was hoping for a less aggressive plan.

I certainly did not appreciate waiting almost an hour for my appointment. They want to charge patients for breaking appointments. I think patients should get to charge them for having to wait that long for their appointment!!

I was told online that there would be no more paperwork once I filled out the online documents. When I get to the doctor's office I am handed another 10 pages to fill out! NOT GOOD! Most of those pages I could have filled out online before the appointment.
