Dr. Dark is a licensed psychologist providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for adults in Maryland. Dr. Dark has extensive experience conducting evaluations within in- and outpatient rehabilitation, psychiatric, and neurology departments. She works with a broad patient population, including individuals with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, suspected cognitive impairment, and movement disorders. Dr. Dark uses an evidence-based approach to assess cognitive strengths and weaknesses, clarify diagnosis, and offer tailored recommendations for treatment planning, rehabilitation, and optimization of brain health.
Dr. Dark earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completed her predoctoral internship in clinical psychology (neuropsychology) at the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine consortium, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive aging at the National Institute on Aging within the NIH. Dr. Dark’s research interests include bridging the gap between biological markers of cognitive decline and neuropsychological assessment, finding early detection strategies, identifying novel therapeutic targets, and developing biomarker-informed interventions for cognitive disorders.
