Helen Park is a caring and diligent OB-GYN serving the community of New Hyde Park, NY. She received her medical degree from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University, where she was a teaching resident and obtained advanced experience in laparoscopy and operative vaginal deliveries.

Review is overdue. Very rude. Very unprofessional. She does NOT know how to speak to expecting mothers. All she cares about is money. I regret ever having found her and going to her was a traumatic experience. Just find someone else. Anyone else.

The review is overdue. I think her client base is Koreans who want to give birth in North Shore hospital. I think Helen is the only Korean speaking doctor who delivers in North Shore. For this reason, she has no reason to be nice to her Korean patients. You either put up with her awful bedside manners or your options are limited (if you want a Korean doctor who delivers in North Shore). She would tell you that she's going to do blood tests but won't tell you what she's testing for. She tells you she will call you back only if there's something wrong (obviously being lazy) with the results so you anxiously/nervously wait so that she doesn't call you back. She is very condescending and will question your medical background/education when you ask questions. She does ask "Do you have any questions??" at the end of each visit but with an aggressive tone which would imply that you better not annoy her and ask questions. Her staff is rude and incompetent. I asked for an itemized receipt for all the visits but they said they can't provide because they had already provided receipt for the initial down payment that I made. Does that make sense? They don't accept credit cards which is odd (must be for tax reasons). I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Park delivered my baby at the Northwell hospital last month. My office visits along the pregnancy were great (she always answered my questions, followed up closely). Her skills as a physician really shined on the day of delivery! My labor was very long, but Dr. Park was very patient and attentive. She is an excellent OB, if I ever do it again, would love to see her again. Thank you so much.

A doctor who gives patients unnecessary stress and worry... shouldn't be a doctor at all.
She is the most cold hearted, apathetic, rude, condescending person that I have ever encountered. Who wants that kind of person as an OBGYN? No one.
I honestly can't think of an encounter you can possibly have with a doctor that gets any worse than this. Please don't come here. There are plenty of other doctors in this area who are much more qualified, and better people.

Both Dr. Park and the desk staff and nurses we super nice and friendly! Dr. Park was so easy to talk to and very open. I would totally recommend her! Be sure to have cash or a checkbook for your copay, they don't take credit cards.

I found the staff at the front desk to be rude. The medical staff looked like she did not want to be there. The doctor was mediocre at best, I felt the interaction was insincere and she seemed a bit condescending. The examination was quick and did not seem thorough, especially compared to my past OB-GYN doctors. She did ask if I had any questions a couple of times during our 10 minute examination. If you Google her, there are other sites with her reviews and my experience has been similar to those negative reviews. All in all, I did not recommend this doctor to my mom, who is also looking for a new doctor.

I really did not want to have to write this review, but I felt like it was important. I would like to note that this review is not of Dr. Park but rather her office staff and policies. I went to Dr. Park for the first time in January 2016. I immediately felt unwelcome by her office staff, however, Dr. Park herself was warm, inviting and welcoming to speak with. She took time out to really explain things to me and made me feel cared for. My second time seeing her was for a difficult situation that I was going through. Upon entering the office the front desk woman demanded that I submit my payment in cash upfront. I did not have the cash, so I was told to go get it immediately or I would not be able to see the Dr. I thought that this was an inappropriate way to speak to a patient (especially someone in a sensitive situation) however, I got the cash and paid upfront. Throughout the course of this issue, Dr. Park really helped me and made me feel comfortable. Finally, in October I went to the Dr. for a completely separate reason and was practically laughed out of the office, being told that I essentially should not be there. Both the front desk person and the nurse made me feel moronic and crazy for even coming in, and I basically had to fight to have my blood taken. Once my results were back from the blood work, I got an ambiguous call from the nurse just telling me to "come in as soon as possible" with no details or information as to why. Of course this immediately put me in to a panic and to even get a smidge of information I had to call back multiple times. It was determined that I would come in for an appointment that following week, however I cancelled that appointment and never rescheduled. Not once has the office even called me to ask if I am planning to come in to follow-up. I am very disappointed that I am not continuing my relationship with Dr. Park,however, I felt almost unwanted in her office.

Arrived about ten minutes late for my appt but still ending up waiting an extra 50 minutes to be seen. It was worth it though. The doctor is very pleasant & takes her time with explaining things to you. I'm use to doctors rushing me out of their office but after she examined me, she asked if i had any questions, explained what was going on and sent me on my way lol. She's good.

Dr. Park has horrible bedside manner and is extremely rude. She doesn't like to be questioned and gets very temperamental when she is. As a first time mother I was very taken aback by her lack of empathy for her patients. Her front desk receptionist is just as bad and she is and can barely speak English. The office is very outdated and they don't even have a credit card machine. The best experience was with her medical assistant (unfortunately I don't remember her name). The last call was when her staff called with blood results and provided the incorrect information to me over the phone. A month then passed and when I saw Dr. Park she told me about something that came up in my blood work and that my husband would need to have blood taken as well. When I questioned why I wasn't called earlier when they had my results for over a month now I wasn't given a very kind response. It was at that point that I decided I need to switch doctors.

Overall a personable doctor. However, she refused to do a test when i specifically asked her but it's her practice so I understand. Also, she wasn't able to help with another problem saying that she doesn't know anything about it but yet again, doctors specialize in different topics so I cant hold it against her. They collected the wrong copay and then i had a bill in the mail so make sure you give the right amount. Overall good visit if you're looking for a basic doctor.

Dr. Park is very patient and down to earth. She explains everything and also is upfront with all possibilities. Being an "older"expecting mother (37) with a history of miscarriage, I appreciate someone who is optimistic but realistic. The wait is sometimes long, sometimes short but worth the wait. My previous OB was always in a rush and before I could think of a question she was out the door and she made assumptions about my knowledge base. I ended up always googling to get my questions answered or waiting days for a call back. Dr. Park has called me back immediately the 3 times I had a concern and I don't feel I'm being rushed.

I was a first time patient at this office. Staff was ok and dr was very nice. I was a little uncomfortable that most of the patients were chinese or asians and stared at me as im of mixed asian origin. Dr Park was very nice I will keep her as my dr but I didnt like that instead of using a gown or sheet for coverage, that they use a small towel to barely cover your lower waist in exam room. Also i wish they had a separate waiting area as all the seats for patients are right outside exam room! When you open the door they are right outside; needs more privacy!
