Dr. Helen Xiao-Li, Board certified in Radiation Oncology, was awarded her medical degree from Peking Union Medical College, the most prestigious medical school in China. In 1995, with a special interest in cancer research, she obtained a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Xiao-Li completed her Radiation Oncology training at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, N.Y. She has received a research award from the New York Roentgen Society and the AACR Travel Award from the American Association for Cancer Research during these years.
Dr Xiao-Li worked as an attending physician for 21st Century Oncology for 10 years and Flushing Radiation Oncology/Cyberknife Center for 2 years. She is familiar with 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for the treatment of variety of malignancies and certain benign conditions.
With extensive experience for SRS/SRT and SBRT using Gamma Knife and Cyberknife, Dr. Xiao-Li will bring her expertise to further strengthen our SRS/SRT and SBRT program using our most innovative Varian Rapid-Arc beam system.
Dr. Xiao-Li is an expert in the Brachytherapy Seed Implants procedure in the treatment of prostate cancer.
She is bilingual and fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
