Dr. Bartels is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado where she was born and raised. She moved to Texas to attend Texas Christian University where she graduated summa cum laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet. Prior to pursuing a carrier in medicine, Dr. Bartels was an accomplished ballet dancer, dancing with Oregon Ballet Theatre and Texas Dance Theatre. She then attended medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine where she graduated in 2014. It is here that she met her now husband, Dr. Bradley Bartels, a family medicine physician in Hamilton, Texas.
Dr. Bartels completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, graduating in 2018, and was the recipient of the Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology award given by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparosopists. Dr. Bartels is passionate about providing excellent care to women of varying backgrounds and is eager to bring evidence based medicine, current surgical techniques, and service to the community through her practice.
In her free time, Dr. Bartels enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hiking, fishing, traveling, attending TCU sporting events and supporting performing arts in the community.
