Dr. Hongxiu Luo is a skilled endocrinologist available for consultations at Saint Peters Healthcare System. Dr. Luo is a graduate of the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science & Technology in China, where she received her medical degree. Further, she completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health. She went on to complete her residencies in internal medicine at Raritan Bay Medical Center in NJ and Guangzhou No.12 People’s Hospital in China. She is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Luo is an active member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the American Thyroid Association (ATA), the American Endocrine Society, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Terrible experience. She would not listen- wish I had a copy of the call because she started off with inaccurate info and zero interest in me as a patient. Didn’t ask me anything regarding why I was there, talked through me, disgusting bedside manner and not even normal conversation skills. Gross waste of time. Makes the whole practice look foolish.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Luo. I've bounced around a few endocrinologists and Dr. Luo has been the best, so far. I liked her bedside manner, she was listening, she was asking a lot of questions to really get to know me and my health/medical history, and she seems really sincere in helping me get my sugars under control while also setting expectations. If you're considering Dr. Luo, the one thing to remember is that she works at St. Peter's, which is a hospital, so you might get charged an extra fee for that ("facility fee").

The office staff was friendly and professional everyone knew what they were doing. A couple of things stood out, the facility was very clean, the doctor saw me right away, COVID protocol seemed to be very important everyone wore masks and I was asking to throw away my old mask and wear a new one that they provided.
Dr. Luo is very knowledgeable and her treatment plan for me made sense. I have hope that my problem will be resolved. I would highly recommend Dr. Luo

This doctor has no sense of empathy or emotional intelligence. The doctor came in scolding me before any questions were asked or introductions are made. She told me my current work out plan wasn’t enough and quickly took her words back when she found out my 3 month weight loss progress.
All her medicine she prescribed and suggestions were helpful. But her condescending tone is absolutely disgusting. Thankfully the office staff was nice and let me make an follow up appointment with someone else.

I had her staff member see me initially and she came afterward for finalizing the test results and recommended future venue. I’m glad I found Dr H. I had to do a Telehealth visit with Dr. Luo for my first time based on an earlier Covid-19 diagnosis so my appointment from Zocdoc had to be changed a couple of times. There was a bit of back and forth with the office staff but they were pleasant via phone and email. When I had my virtual visit with Dr. Luo she was very thorough in answering my questions, listening and making sure everything was explained in a way I could understand. She was very nice and I look forward to meeting her in person for my next visit!

Two visits to this doctor didn't change anything - I come to her with my problems and I left with the same problems. At first visit I got reference to a blood test, US, on second visit - I was told that my test results are ok. That's all! but my problems are not gone anywhere and they weren't helped to be resolved. Just spent time and money, but didn't get any treatment or at least any further attempts to figure out a reason of issues I came with.
