Dr. Armas is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is certified in advanced laparoscopic surgery by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. He is a member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society and the North America Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Currently, Dr. Armas is the President of Women’s Care Florida.
Dr. Armas has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, surgery for female urinary incontinence, advanced pelvic reconstruction surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Armas is very interested in menopause management and is a speaker in the field on natural hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Armas is listed in the Florida edition of Castle Connolly’s Guide, “How To Find The Best Doctors”. He has been practicing medicine in Brandon and Plant City since 1988.
Dr. Armas graduated with honors from the University of Miami and earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida. During his last year, he served as Administrative Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The best Doctor in tampa

Dr. Armas seemed like he was in a hurry, and he received a phone call during my visit, which lasted about 20 minutes. I didn't feel he was very informative, which I was disappointed about as I had heard very good things about him. I needed bloodwork done, and after several attempts the nurses were unable to draw any blood, and I will now need to go somewhere else to get bloodwork done. His staff was very nice, and pleasant to talk to, and I did make another appointment to give it another try, because he could have just been having a bad day.

I expected more about Dr's services. I was expecting a full and clear evaluation, detail attention to the problem and to deliver workaround solutions towards my problem. The service was poor, without any further studies or any subsequent evaluations, or questions to dig down the problem and lookout for treatment towards my condition. Without knowing in detail he just agreed on what I said about what my previous doctor told me. I was expecting a course of action, a plan for my condition, and also a treatment for another thing I asked I was experiencing. I did not got any of them. I think I waisted my money, my time waiting scheduling this appointment within a month of priority, to get this lack of attention, and also waisted more than 40- 50 minutes waiting in the office room. I arrived 40 minutes earlier on my appointment as requested to fill the paper work, and spent near an hour waiting for the doctor. And the duration of service was less than 20- 25 minutes. Only to get a referral for another doctor. Very disappointed and mad.

Dr Armas is the best for bioidentical hormone replacement pellet therapy. I came to him lethargic, gaining weight, exercising yet losing muscle mass, sleep deprived due to night sweats, irritable and with virtually no libido. All of my symptoms are completely gone! He is knowledgeable, nonjudgmental and professional at all times. He cuts through the noise and tells you what works and what not to waste your time on. I follow all of his recommendations and am a 55 year old woman who feels 35. It’s my goal to feel vibrant for decades to come. Thank you, Dr Armas for keeping me happy and healthy! Lisa at the front desk and Katy’s in nursing are superstars in their own right.

From the front office staff, to the medical nurses and supporting staff, my experiences with Women's Care Florida has been excellent. Dr Armas has been a God-send with the natural hormone replacement therapy that I am using. I swear by this and would strongly encourage other menopausal women to do their research and seek help with their hot flashes and other symptoms. It is amazing the difference it will make in your life and your relationships. I was a referral to Dr. Armas and would like to share him with anyone looking for a good doctor and for one who can provide care all in a one stop location. I get mammograms, bone density scans, everything in their office. I also use the Riverview location since it is closer to my home. The staff at both offices are the best!

I've been going to Dr. Armas for almost 20 years. He's been my favorite gynecologist I've ever been to. As I started having menopausal symptoms, he had me start bioidentical natural hormones. Ive stayed in great health, hot flashes are rare, and am emotionally stable. I highly recommend him and his staff!

I have been using Women's Care Florida since I relocated here 16 years ago.( I am 60 now ) It is great to have so many services available in addition to Gynecology. Dr.Armas has been my Dr. Since the beginning . His care is far more than a quick visit. He gives me his complete attention every time I have any questions. Amazing Doctor, office staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Never had a bad experience at this office. Dr. Armas is the absolute best! Delivered my son 21 years ago and he’s still my doctor. I absolutely love this place!! All the staff make u feel very comfortable. Dr. Chamorro delivered my daughter in 2016, I had an in office procedure with Dr. Armas & have seen almost every doctor with the practice over the course of being a patient. Their bed side manner is above & beyond! Pam, is the best, hands down makes u feel like family. She genuinely cares & will help u with anything. Highly recommend this practice!!

I have been seeing Dr. Armas for 25 years. From 2 babies to a few caught early problems due to excellence in the desire to do their job. I have so much confidence in this office to go above and beyond that both my daughters also go there. That shows confidence when you entrust your pride and joy to someone. I haven't dealt with any of them that I didn't like. Smart comfident caring dedicated ... those are words to explain this group of people.

Service is excellent. Fast services and the ladies at the reception are very attentive. In the triage they talk to you and make feel comfortable with the services you are receiving. My doctor is Dr Armas and I feel confortable talking to him about any issue I may experience and feel he really cares.
