More about Dr. Imran Afridi, MD, FACC
Imran Afridi, MD, FACC, RPVI has been a practicing cardiologist in the Dallas area for more than 15 years. He has also been an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and served as director of Cardiac Stress Imaging at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic where he was engaged in research, as well as training of cardiology fellows. Dr. Afridi has published numerous papers and lectured at national and international cardiology conferences. He also is a reviewer for several peer review cardiology journals. Dr. Afridi completed his fellowship in cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and his residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit. He is board certified in cardiology, and certified in advanced echocardiography and nuclear cardiology by the American Societies of Echocardiography and Nuclear cardiology. Dr Afridi is also certified as Registered Physician for Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) with ARDMS. Dr. Afridi is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His special interests include management of heart failure, complex valvular heart disese, coronary artery disease, and preventive cardiology.
