Dr. Irancé Reddix – McCray was born and grew up in Monroe, LA. She attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1982. Dr. Reddix attended the Howard University College of Medicine, and the Baylor College of Medicine to obtain her training in Family Practice. In 1996, she moved her family of three children, to a small town on the eastern shore of North Carolina, Rocky Mount, to practice rural medicine.
While in Rocky Mount, Dr. Reddix was ordained and pastored a non-denominational church. She also wrote, produced and broadcast weekly medical information shows and inspirational shows on the local cable network. In July of 2003, she returned to the place of her birth, Monroe, LA where she again opened a small solo private practice and began once again broadcasting on the local radio station.
Dr. Reddix moved to Baltimore in 2006 and in January 2007 opened a private practice. Dr. Reddix graduated in 2012 from St Mary’s Seminary with a Masters of Theology and an advanced certificate in Spirituality and is currently enrolled in Wesley Seminary in the Masters of Divinity Program. She is a candidate seeking ordination as an elder in the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. She serves as an Urban Fellow at Wesley Seminary and the Hope for the City Fellow for the Baltimore Washington Conference. She has her first book published: A Prescription for Turning Tragedy into Triumph. She has a passion for teaching the Word of God and helping people reach their full potential in the Lord.
