Doctor Lalani was very pleasant and very professional. He listened and made several diagnoses and administered a battery of test that revealed my problem. He referred me to an orthopedic specialist to correct the problem. Office staff was very pleasant as well. I would recommend this doctor.

Thanks to his unique and specialized background in neurology, Dr. Irfan Lalani uses his in-depth understanding to really help treat patients by offering them comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans. After graduating as valedictorian from Agha Khan University Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Irfan Lalani continued his education at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and was chosen to serve as the Chief Resident during that time because of his clinical and academic excellence. He then placed first in a nationwide examination of neurologists in training.
After a fellowship in anesthesia-pain medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Lalani joined the UT MD Anderson Department of Anesthesiology as an Assistant Professor and has published numerous textbook chapters and papers in peer reviewed journals addressing contemporary issues in pain management and neurology.
Dr. Lalani has extensive experience in performing and teaching a variety of interventional procedures for pain control including nerve blocks, botulinum toxin injections, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency neurotomy, implantable nerve and spinal cord stimulators as well as intrathecal pumps. He treats a wide range of painful conditions including back and neck pain, arthritis, chronic headache syndromes, neuropathy, pelvic pain, cancer pain, vertebral compression fractures, complex regional pain syndrome (also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy), shingles and chronic pain after surgery.
Dr. Lalani is dedicated to helping patients improve their quality of life by helping them find liberation from their pain.
