The front office is well run and very personable. This doctor can improve her "bedside manner" by looking a new patient in the eye and shaking his or her hand to introduce herself. The office offers late afternoon appointments, which makes it convenient.
This doctor was not able to recommend a glaucoma specialist, but listened carefully to medical history and made reasonable suggestions. By the end of the appointment, the doctor warmed up and made more effort to "connect" with this new patient.

The assistant was the best part. She was super informative and really taught me about proper technique for caring and wearing contacts.

Dr. Donev graduated from Fordham University and received her medical degree from Catholic University School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. She then completed two years of internal medicine and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University College of
Physicians and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, where she was chief resident. Dr. Donev then performed one year of subspecialty training in cornea diseases and surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. As chief of the cornea service for ten years at Columbia University, College of Physicans and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, Dr. Donev oversaw patient care and assisted ophthalmology residents with cataract and cornea surgery.
Dr. Donev is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Donev has been in private practice in New Rochelle for over twenty years. She has participated in mentor programs and has performed community presentations sponsored by Sound Shore Medical Center.

more and more of the exam is provided by low level technicians. The doctor i does bare minimum and seems in a hurry to do the small part of the exam she conducts. She is not a warm person and did not answer questions. Her staff is quite rude however and overall I am on the fence about turning here

My visit was quick an thorough. I like Dr. Donev. She is knowledgeable and trustworthy. I already have a pair of old screen glasses and she didn't try to sell me contacts or a new pair of glasses I don't need. I appreciated that. You can use your medical insurance for the eye exam because Dr. Donev is an MD.

I needed to get have an eye exam for my driver's license renewal and this appointment was thorough yet quick. I've always had good eye sight and hated waiting forever in a waiting room. The facility is clean and quiet, the way a doctor's office should be.

My visit today was very pleasant . Though I had a long wait, my experience was very positive. It started with the assistant who did all the tests. Denise was very knowledgeable and courteous. She answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Then I waited to see Dr. Donev who was very welcoming and informative. I was very satisfied with my visit today. I will highly recommend their services as of my experience today. I accomplished my goal.

The receptionists were kind and efficient. There was some 30 minutes waiting time until we were seen. The initial professional was very kind and through. Then Dr. Donev came in the room and did further checking. She is also very kind professional and appears knowledgable.
Parking costs $3.00.
The office is in a 2nd floor without elevator.
