Originally from New York City, Dr. Iris Polinger moved to Houston in 1974 and has been using her decades of experience in the field of dermatology to assist patients in the community. She received her Ph.D. in biology from Johns Hopkins University and taught at Harvard Medical School and New York University before attending medical school at the State University of New York Downstate Medical School.
She was voted “Top Doc” by H Magazine in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 and in 2006 was voted Best Sugar Land Dermatologist in Fort Bend County by readers of Sun newspapers. In 1994 she was voted Woman of Excellence by the American Business Women’s Association.
Dr. Polinger loves people and enjoys taking care of men, women, and children of all ages. While Dr. Polinger treats diseases and problems with skin, hair and nails, she has a special interest in in treating skin cancer and psoriasis, acne, warts and spots of all colors. For cosmetic services, she is laser certified and performs procedures such as Botox, Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm.
During her time outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.

Dr. Iris Polinger is a old school dermatologist. I am sure she performed some quality work while treating patients in the past. She walked in the room, glanced at my son, suggested that he see a plastic surgeon, recommended a plastic surgeon, then billed my insurance for her dermatology services. I would not recommend this dermatologist if you can find anyone else that can do more than eyeball patients...
