Dr. Herling is without a doubt the best & most comptext cardiolgist I have ever had occasion to know. He has treated me for over 20yrs & thru my heart attack, aortic value & pacemaker operations. He is 5*, in my career as judge I've had occasions to interact with many cardiologists.

Irving M. Herling, MD, FACC, current director of clinical cardiology at Lankenau Medical Center and Main Line HealthCare, holds the Incumbent Ernest Scheller III Chair in Innovative Cardiology, and has an appointment as clinical associate professor of Medicine at The Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He had been associate professor of medicine and director of the Consultative Cardiology Program at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia from 1984-2012. Dr. Herling had been Director of the Coronary Care Unit and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia from 1979–1984.
Dr. Herling received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. His postgraduate training included a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Herling is certified by the American Board of Medicine and holds subspecialty certification in cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, and The American Heart Association. He is a member of the Council on Clinical Cardiology of the American Heart Association
Dr. Herling has written articles and abstracts that have appeared in American Journal of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, and Circulation. He has contributed chapters to the books Practical Cardiology, Geriatrics, Burket’s Oral Medicine and Congestive Heart Failure- A Clinician’s Guide to Diagnosis and Management. Dr. Herling is a reviewer for Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Annals of Internal Medicine.
