Dr. Annunziato is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) and neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. The specialty of PM&R manages medical issues that affect the way people function. He performs osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), therapeutic exercise and functional training, anatomic and ultrasound guided injections for soft tissues, nerves, joints, and trigger points, and spasticity procedures.
Dr. Annunziato works with patients to improve their function and quality of life, across all age groups. Common conditions include neck and back pain, joint pain, arthritis, sprains and strains, difficulty walking, and headaches, but he also sees patients who have had a stroke, spinal cord injury (SCI), or brain injury (TBI). Dr. Annunziato enjoys utilizing OMT for pelvic floor pain and pain with pregnancy, as well as to help newborns with latch difficulty.
“I have a whole-body approach; I look at a patient holistically, evaluating their body and their lifestyle to understand why they might be experiencing pain,” says Dr. Annunziato. “From there I can tailor a treatment plan to help get them back to feeling their best. My number one priority is to listen to my patients to fully understand why they’ve come to see me.”
Dr. Annunziato attended Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. His PM&R training included patients with SCI, TBI, and amputations at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation; interventional spine and musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation at the VA Healthcare System of New Jersey; medically complex consultations at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School; and pediatric patients at the Children’s Specialized Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Morristown Medical Center.

He spent very little time moving my leg and never looked at it. He told me I had arthritis in my hip. X-rays proved that I did not. I asked him why the top of my leg above the knee and along the inside thigh were so tender. He said he had no idea. I asked if he was going to give me a treatment and he said no.
