Don't let the staff of Dr. Hou's scare you away. They have very little people skills and poor phone etiquette.
Dr. Hou on the other hand is a skilled and knowable physician; I can't remember any other Doctor I ever been treated by as being more thorough. He's a good guy to just chat with too. Comfortable and non rushed. I was in good hands. The offices are clean and orderly. This was my first Zoc Doc Doctor, the web site work great; made the appointment; I received confirmation; reminders; loved it, it was a good experience. I can only imagine the less contact the patients have with his office stuff; and better for everyone. The only thing I can figure; is the girls in the front office might be In-laws of his, or his team. Either way, I'd highly recommend Dr. Hou.

The doctor was wonderful. Unfortunately, the front office didn't have my appointment on the books and were apologetic or kind about it. Even after being told that we were driving in from over an hour away. I called to inform them that we were going to "possibly" be 5-10 minutes late. That's how I found out that we weren't even on the books. But the doctor was wonderful. So based on that, I'd give the doctor another visit

Dr. Hou is a compassionate and devoted urologist treating his patients in southern California. He grew up in New York and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the Columbia University where he graduated magna cum laude. After college, Dr. Hou received his M.D degree from Boston University School of Medicine where he chose to devote his medical career to helping patients with urological conditions.
Dr. Hou completed his specialty residency training in urology at the State University of New York in Syracuse. After residency training, Dr. Hou spent additional years for fellowship training to sub-specialize in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Hou has published articles and book chapters in the field of general urology, female urology, and neuro-urology. Dr. Hou is also an invited speaker at professional society national meetings and conferences
In addition to treating patients with general urological issues such as enlarged prostate, urinary symptoms, erectile dysfunction, and kidney stones, Dr. Hou is a specialist in taking care of female urological conditions such as recurrent urinary tract infection, pelvic pain, incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic organ prolapse.
