I loved my visit with Dr Brown. She took a genuine interest in my issues and concerns. She wasted no time scheduling all the proper test for treatments. The only issuse I had was the wait to do blood work. Other than that I was excited to tell everyone how pleasant my visit was and how I looked forward to having Dr Brown be my doctor. I don't mind driving the distance for great treatment. It helps when your staff is pleasant as well.

More about Dr. Jacqueline Brown, MD

Dr. Jacqueline Brown has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology since 1984 and founded the Total Woman Healthcare clinic in 1990. Total Woman Healthcare has a concentrated focus on gynecology, preventative health, well woman exams and holistic medicine. Dr. Brown feels that efforts should be directed toward preventing illness and disease rather than curing it after it has already occurred. Dr. Brown was originally drawn to obstetrics because women tend to take the best care of themselves when they are pregnant. This phenomenon spurred her interest in holistic and preventative medicine. Trying to encourage superior health at every stage of a woman’s life, Dr. Brown feels that many factors affect the health of her patients, including workload, diet, exercise and stress. We do a number of evaluations for the total woman. We don’t just look at the breast or the uterus separately. We evaluate the woman in her entirety, says Dr. Brown. There is no one program that fits everybody, so we address the needs individually; and we try to address the needs totally in context with the patients lifestyle. As a woman, Dr. Brown feels that she is more responsive to women patients and compassionate about their problems and concerns. She understands motivations and habits that her patients adopt, yet stresses that heart disease kills more women than men and is the No. 1 killer of women in the U.S. Dr. Brown encourages patients to establish and start maintaining good habits, then the quality of their health is going to improve. Dr. Brown is a member of the Houston OB/Gyn Society, Harris County Medical Society, Houston Medical Forum, National Medical Association, American Medical Association, American College for the Advancement of Medicine and American Association of Environmental Medicine. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition to being a mother of two, Dr. Brown is an ordained minister in American Baptist Churches, focusing on social justice issues. She devotes hours to encourage youth to excel, become involved in the world around them, and seek higher education. Dr. Brown believes that she can help save the environment by encouraging every person to appreciate and preserve the life God has given us. Education: University of North Texas State, B.A.; University of Texas Southwestern, M.D.; Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, M.P.H.; M. Div. Southern Methodist University.

I will never go back there again. Dr. Brown was really nice but her staff is rude and clearly you made appointments for Nothing. I waited 2 full hours to be seen and when I threaten to take my money back if somebody didn't hurry up they ran in there quick!
She is awesome and I absolutely love her
