In her role as a clinician in hospital and community settings, she has educated individuals on the nutrition tools they need to help manage conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and gastrointestinal conditions. In her approach, she regularly utilizes her personal and professional experience with food to illustrate and distill nutrition concepts into bite-size pieces, emphasizing health benefits and sensory elements. Jackie has additional interests in plant-based nutrition, intuitive eating, and HAES-informed counseling. Jackie received her Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Drexel University. She also holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time, Jackie enjoys cooking, painting and drawing, powerlifting, and watching sci-fi shows with her partner and their cats: Girlfriend, Bear, Morte, Egypt, and Logan.
