Dr. Jaehon Kim is an orthopaedic surgeon treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. His primary goal as a practitioner is to ensure that each of his patients receives the highest available standard of orthopaedic care. Dr. Kim serves as an assistant professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics.
In order to pursue his medical degree, Dr. Kim attended Weill Cornell Medical College. He continued his medical education at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, completing an internship program in general surgery. The recipient of an Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Grant, Dr. Kim received his residency training in orthopaedic surgery through the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program. He has also completed a fellowship program at the Curtis National Hand Center.
Patients visiting Dr. Kim can receive a full range of orthopaedic services. He specializes in upper extremity surgery, performing procedures ranging from minimally invasive endoscopy to neurovascular structure reconstruction. Doctor was nice but I had to create a scene in office in order to get brought back to exam room after I over 90 minutes waiting. I had to demand someone gin back and see why I wasn't being seen. They told me so doc caused extreme delays. How sad that this is offered as an option for setting up appointment ts yet it doesn't work!!

While Dr. Kim was extremely nice and informative, unfortunately found his staff although nice, not informative as to giving me information required for a procedure. Never had any kind of out-patient procedures in the past and so I was clueless. My issue was as I was leaving his office, I was not informed nor instructed as to what I had to do pre-procedure. I was 'nickel & dimed' so to speak as to steps required after the fact. Every time I spoke to someone at his office I was then informed that something else was required. Got so frustrated that I decided not to forego further with his services.

Dr. Kim is an amazing doctor! He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, but beyond that he is really concerned with making sure that the treatment for any injuries is appropriate and the best possible course of action. A lot of doctors would immediately look at something and want to operate right away. Dr. Kim is much more interested in doing what is best for the patient depending on the situation; he is methodical and makes sure his patients are as informed about the pros and cons of procedures and recoveries as possible. He's the best!

Dr. Kim took the time to explain what was wrong in a way that I could understand. He was patient with me, listening to all my questions and answering them. He had a pleasant manner and was easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend him.

Unsatisfactory experience from the time of booking until I left the place. Save your time and go to another place.
(1) I call and ask if after my initial consultation I can do a radiography and MRI in the same office. I was told - yes. It proves they can only do the consultation and nothing of the others. If I was told that on the phone I would have chosen a different place.
(2) Got called the night before that they need to change my appointment because the doctor was busy. From 2:00 to 2:30pm. I agreed. I got here in time for my appointment and waited 50 min before being seen?!
What is the use of being on Zoc Doc if you can't be reliable with what you say you do and when you are available?
Good luck staying in business with this approach.

Dr. Kim is excellent. He performed minor surgery on my trigger thumb, and it healed well - and quickly. I can now use my thumb normally, although it is still a bit stiff. I expect that will diminish over time.
