Dr. James Abrams is the Peninsula's leader in high-definition vision.
Dr. Abrams underwent his ophthalmology training at the Mayo Clinic, completed his General Surgery Training at UCLA, and went to medical school at the University of Kansas, where his father and two brothers also attended.
Dr. Abrams has been a part of LASIK vision correction since its introduction to the United States in 1995. Prior to the approval of LASIK in the US, Dr. Abrams practiced ophthalmology for 12 years. He started his own General Ophthalmology practice in 1980, where he performed LASIK, Cataract, Glaucoma, Retinal Laser, and cosmetic eye surgery. He was also the founder and medical director of Pacific EyeScan, a high-technology diagnostic eye center in Daly City in 2003.
